I've been slacking on my weekly journal lately, and this week was no exception. But I've got to say, it was quite the adventure.
This week was kinda special, mostly because of Ganesh Chaturthi. It hit me that I've never actually been away from home during these 10 days of festivities. It's always been a time of family, food, and just soaking in the vibes. But this year, things are a little different—I’ll be off to Bangalore from the 11th to the 15th. Not gonna lie, I’m a bit sad about missing out on the usual celebrations, but hey, at least I'll make it back in time for the Visarjan on the 17th. So, I guess I won’t miss out on all the fun after all!
My weekend started off with a visit to YUI, a popular Japanese restaurant in Mumbai. Along with my former interns, I indulged in the Edamame Avocado Roll, a delectable combination of creamy avocado and savory edamame wrapped in a seaweed sheet. The roll was the perfect appetizer, complemented by a dollop of spicy wasabi.
The Premier League is back baby, and Arsenal kicked off the season with a thrilling 2-0 victory over Wolves. Watching the Gunners dominate was pure ecstasy! I'm so pumped for the rest of the season. We desperately need to bolster our attacking options. A versatile forward who can fill in for Saka on the right wing would be a game-changer. And don't even get me started on how much I want Mikel Merino in our midfield.
Past week was a roller coaster in itself. I met my ex-intern gang, one of them got me amazing Limited Edition Moka post from Amsterdam (The Italian Version). It looks pretty good irl. I've ordered the stainless steel plate to place over the gas stove for Moka pot, to make sure I don't burn down the bottom chamber. Once that arrives, I cannot wait to brew some amazing Cotha's premium blend.
Completed 30 days streak on DuoLingo. While it was such a pain to even get 10 minutes per day, but I think I've learned a bit more Japanese and a lot more discipline. The next goal is to make that 30 to 60. Excited to learn new words, and sentence formation.
This blog is special, because of the date and week of the year. It's 30th week of the year, and I'm jotting this on 30th July. We are more than half way through the year, and it's a hard pill to digest. Let's hope, we all make the most from the rest of the year. I'll be taking some time out to jot down some resonable and achievable goals for the rest of the year. Nevertheless, I'm proud of what I've achieved in the first half.
This blog was written after a lot of procrastination. Thankfully, I've a habit tracker which acts like agony aunt and forces me to feed blogs week in and out. My brain was acting like "Spiderman Meme", it was just finding excuses. For those who are living under the rock and don't know about that meme. Got you covered.
I'm 2 days delayed in posting the blog for the 28th week of 2024. I won't make excuses, but I was lazy enough to not prioritize this blog. Maybe it is because of the fatigue to write this week in week out. But let's do this.
This is about the 27th week of the year 2024. I'm jotting this on a monday, whereas this blog was supposed to go on Sunday evening at max before the week ends. But nevertheless.
I came up with the idea to blog every week and the title of the blog would correspond to "Weekly notes {Week number}/{Year}". The idea is to publish contents at the end of the week, so mostly weekends.
This is my first blog post. I decided to just randomly come up with the idea to start writing and maintaing blog out of the blue. Although I'm not used to writing a blog, I thought of giving it a shot. To just give a basic introduction about who I am. I'm Kunal and I've been working as a Software Developer for the past 6 years. Currently my job includes to support and develop mission critical scalable systems for Nasdaq. Apart from that lately I've started learning Swimming and Badminton (Hopefully I keep it up), and I'm currently preparing for JLPT N5 Japanese proficiency test. The dream is to visit Japan again and converse with locals (and watch anime without subtitles).
